The Crazies
Unlike the goofy 1973 original, this 2010 remake manages to keep focused on what’s important, scaring the audience. After all, it shouldn’t be hard to elicit fear from the story of a deadly virus that turns friend against neighbor and government. This is the way B movies should be done.

The Crazies
The Crazies definitely involves some of that good ol’ Cold War paranoia that the image above channels, but not too much beyond that. This one from George A. Romero has not aged well, and seems pretty corny by todays standards (especially after the remake). Still, it definitely remains  entertaining.
